What is TFT?

TFT stands for Teamfight Tactics, which is an auto-battler game developed by Riot Games. It is a strategy-based game where players build a team of champions, position them on a board, and watch them battle automatically against other players. The goal is to be the last player standing by making strategic choices in team composition, itemization, and positioning.

Gameplay

The game starts with a draft phase, known as the carousel round, where players pick a champion with an attached item from a rotating selection. After that, players use gold to recruit champions, upgrade them by combining three of the same unit, and create synergies based on their traits. Each round, teams fight against opponents, and the battles play out automatically. Gold is earned each round, and players must decide whether to save it for bonus interest or spend it on champions and experience points to level up. Leveling up allows players to place more units on the board and access stronger champions. Items and augments further enhance strategies by giving champions powerful bonuses. Players lose health when they lose rounds, and the last one standing wins the game.

Theme: Into the Arcane

The current version of the game, Set 13, titled "Into the Arcane", is themed around the highly popular Netflix series, Arcane. In this set, players can build teams featuring iconic characters such as Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Viktor, and Mel Medarda, among others. These champions are integrated into the game with unique abilities and traits that mirror their personas from the series.
