Questions and Answers About Us and Our Products

Q: How should you clean and take care of your PandaShop plant?

A: To keep your hyper realistic faux plants looking fresh and vibrant, regularly dust them with a microfiber cloth, feather duster, or soft brush to prevent buildup. For a deeper clean, gently wipe the leaves with a damp cloth or a mild soap solution, and if needed, rinse them under lukewarm water — just be sure they dry completely. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this can cause fading. To maintain their natural appearance, occasionally adjust and shape the leaves or branches, especially after unpacking or moving them. If storing them, keep them in a cool, dry place, ensuring they aren’t crushed or bent. With these simple steps, your faux plants will stay as lifelike and beautiful as the day you got them.

HI! I'm Sarah from Blooming Artifical and I'm going to show you how to clean your artifical house plants. There is nothing worse than a thick layer of dust to give the game away! So we got a few cleaning options to choose from:

  1. A paintbrush
When you've got a bamboo or something with small creases, using a paintbrush means you get into all those small gaps. This method isn't great for belts with big leaves, but we have another option for these coming up. Just wipe away the dust on each leaf, starting from the top and working down until all the dust is gone. Depending on the size of your plant, this will usually take around 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. A hairdryer or compressed air
We usually recommend this option for plants like grasses where there's a lots of small pieces of foliage to cover, but for plants with larger leaves you might want to try our next option in a few moments. Before you start, if you are using a hairdryer, try to do this near an open window to help clear the dust away. If you're using compressed air, it's best to take your plant outside if possible. Simply blow away the dust from the top until it's all gone.
  3. A damp cloth
This method is great for big leafy plants like our Cheese plant or even something like a Calathea or Sanseviria plant. We wouldn't recomment it for bamboo, which has lots of foliage or more delicate plants like a fern as their leaves are a bit more fragile. By using a damp cloth, you can remove any stuck on dirt as well as dust, and it works perfectly for our Cheese plant, giving its leaves a nice glossy finish. Similar to the paintbrush, we wipe each leaf fromt the top to the bottom until your plant is clean.
  4. Cleaning spray
There's a selection of artificial plant cleaning sprays available online. These work really well if you're in a rush or just cleaning something like a Boston fern or other small house plants. You might want to avoid this method for bamboo as there's a lot of leaves to cover and your spray likely won't get into all the small creases. First, we recommend testing your spray on a hidden part of your plant to make sure it doesn't cause any colors to run. Then you either want to do this outside or use some newspaper underneath to protect your surface. When you're ready, simply spray your plant from top to bottom until it runs off the leaves and let your plant air-dry.

There's all sorts of information online about running artificial plants underwater and using vinegar to clean them, but please don't try this, as it's likely to make colors run and ruin your plants. Choose one of the methods we've talked about and your plant is sure to look stick and span in no time! Thank you for watching!
