About the esports scene in R6
There are many esports events in R6, but this page will only talk about the 6 Invitaional, as it is the most recent and biggest event.
About 6 Invitational:
6 Invitational is the biggest esport event in Rainbow Six Siege, it is held annually and brings together the best teams around the Earth to compete. The Tournament showcases the highest level of gameplay and it also often serves as an event where future seasons get showcased and teased. This year's 6 Invitational begins with a Group Stage.
Group Stage:
In the Group Stage the 20 invited teams face off against each other in 4 groups, A B C D. The teams inside the groups compete against each other, at the end a team gets eliminated from each group. After this the Playoffs begin for the teams that didn't get eliminated. The Playoffs feature no groups, so the groups don't matter any longer in the Tournament. In the table, you can see the groups and which teams play in which groups.
