Who are The Monkees?
Hello World! We're The Monkees, a TV band from the 60s and 70s. Originally we were cast as actors in an American knock-off of A Hard Day's Night by our British counterparts, The Beatles. Originally we didn't even write our own songs, and didn't always play our instruments. We were there for our charm and good looks. But we still released some bangers in this period— More of The Monkees is a slapping album, if we do say so ourselves.
But when we really came into our own was with the release of the Headquarter Sessions, because we fought for our autonomous rights. Check our music out!
Here we come
Walkin' down the street
We get the funniest looks
from
Ev'ry one we meet
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around
But we're too
busy singing
To put anybody down
We're just tryin' to be friendly
Come and watch us sing and play
We're the
young generation
And we've got something to say
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
You never know where we'll be found
So you'd
better get ready
We may be comin' to your town
Our favorite albums
Here you can see some of our very best. Isn't it odd that they were all released in 1967? What a year, huh? Anyways, if you want to learn more about these records, click on the links below to visit their Wikipedia page. Wait, what's a Wikipedia?
