Meet The Fleet
The Boston Fleet are a professional women's ice hockey team based in the Greater Boston area, competing in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Established on August 29, 2023, they are one of the league's six founding franchises. The team plays its home games at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The Fleet's official colors are forest green, aqua, navy, and teal. The team is owned by the Mark Walter Group, with Danielle Marmer as the general manager and Courtney Birchard-Kessel as head coach. Veteran forward Hilary Knight was named the team's inaugural captain. In their first season, they finished third and secured a playoff spot in the final game. Their first win was a 3–2 OT victory against Montreal Victoire on Jan 13, 2024.
The Fleet's roster features a mix of experienced players and promising talent, aiming to make a significant impact in the PWHL.
