Meet the Sceptes

The Toronto Sceptres are a professional women’s ice hockey team based in Toronto, Ontario, competing in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). They are one of the six founding teams of the league, which was established to showcase the highest level of women’s hockey. The team plays its home games at Coca-Cola Coliseum, a venue known for hosting various hockey events in the city.

During the inaugural 2023–24 season, the Toronto Sceptres finished at the top of the regular season standings, establishing themselves as a strong contender in the league. The team’s official colors are blue, navy, gold, and yellow, representing the city's rich hockey tradition and championship aspirations.

The Sceptres are owned by the Mark Walter Group, which also oversees the operations of the entire PWHL. The team is led by General Manager Gina Kingsbury, a former Olympian and experienced hockey executive. Troy Ryan, a highly regarded coach with extensive international experience, serves as the head coach, guiding the team with a strong focus on skill development and strategy. The team’s captain, Blayre Turnbull, is a respected leader on and off the ice.
